Faculty, Staff and Student Employees,

With authorization from Chancellor John Sharp, President Mark A. Welsh III has authorized the early release of employees at noon on Thursday, March 13. 

Branch campuses and teaching sites may have alternate holiday schedules and should consult with their respective leadership or contacts in Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness for related information.

Employees performing essential facility, health, safety and/or security-related functions will be required to report as normally expected. Employees supporting or participating in clinical operations or those unsure of reporting status should confirm with their supervisor prior to the early release date. Sick/vacation leave time previously authorized will be reinstated.

Bus service will end early Thursday, March 13. Last leave times from campus for each bus route will be approximately 1 p.m. There will be no bus service Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16. Bus routes and schedules are available on the Transportation Services bus routes page and in the Texas A&M mobile app.

Please note that hours of operation for recreation centers at our campuses vary. Hours are posted online for the Student Recreation CenterSouthside Recreation Center and Polo Road Recreation Center at the main campus, and for the Campus Recreation Center and Sea Aggie Fitness Center at the Galveston campus.
